Have you been charge with a DWI???

Happy Sunday @everyone and I just wanted to take a moment to make sure that you know this information about Driving While Intoxicated.

First, let me make it CLEAR that I am not an attorney and this is NOT legal advise. This advise is to make sure that you do the steps once released from jail on a DWI.

When released you should have 2 pink papers. If you do not have these pink papers >>>> ask for them. Very important that you have these and you do not lose them.

The 1st pink paper will have writing on it from the arrested officer. If you did have a valid DL before your arrest>>> this point paper is your TEMP DL that will be good for the next 30 days. Be sure that you have this with you in any car/truck that you drive.

The 2nd pink paper will be BLANK and will have a Little Rock address at the top. You will have 7 days from your ARREST date, not your release date to fill this out and send to the address at the very top of the paper. It does not have to be in Little Rock in 7 days but IT MUST be postmarked by the post master within 7 days of arrest.

Now, if you fail to get released from jail within the 7 days be sure that you ask for your booking sheet that will show the day in and the day out. You can send this with a letter to Little Rock and they can help with missing the 7 day allowed period.

Please be sure to follow the above and if you do, this will save you from being arrested for Driving on Revoked for DWI.

Now if you DID NOT have a valid DL before arrest you can still follow the above directions above and they will be able to tell you what you need to do to get valid again….
